How to Retain Employees as the Recession Ends

How can you retain your internal staff - particularly your most valuable staff - as the recession ends?

Transparency is key in making sure your employees don't jump ship for another opportunity as the economy improves. You should be as open and honest as you possibly can with staff and reveal "the good, the bad and the ugly."

You also should identify your key employees and make sure they know not only how you feel about them but also how they fit into the company's future plans. Ask them for their thoughts and ideas. Ask them to be part of the solution. Ask them how they're going to be part of getting out of this.
