Major Los Angeles Food Manufacturing firm seeks experienced Production Supervisor that will be responsible for the following duties:

• Supervise approximately 40 Production staff
• Coordinate and plan the weekly labor schedule.
• Interface with distribution to ensure customer deadlines are met.
• Direct employees in adjusting machines, equipment and work processes to ensure product specifications are met.
• Enforce policies and procedures, work with Human Resources in any employee related issues.
• Plan and resolve work problems and conduct monthly safety meetings
• Maintain production records and verify that subordinates are documenting lot numbers
• Completes duties and ensures that subordinates complete their duties, in accordance with quality assurance, GMP's, safety and other company programs and procedures, and in accordance with government codes and regulations
• Working knowledge of Spanish preferred

Growing Food Manufacturing company in Los Angeles area seeks experienced Quality Supervisor with experience in Sanitation.

 MUST Have:

·         3+ years in Food or Beverage industry

·         BA/BS Degree a real plus!

 You will:

·         Be responsible for clearly identifying and communicating objectives for the QA and Sanitation teams.

·         Be responsible for the day to day management and development of QA Technicians team and Sanitation team to meet the site needs.

·         Be responsible for investigating and resolving Customer Complaints for product

·         Inspect products and equipments for conformity to federal and state sanitation laws and plant standards

·         Be responsible for reporting the QA issues and corrective actions to the plant management

·         Direct food handlers and production personnel in sanitary and pest control procedures

·         Be responsible for training manufacturing staff in Basic Food Hygiene practices.

·         Technical representative for Company at customer and independent audits

·         Interpret company policies and enforce safety procedures to workers

Will be responsible for leading, coaching and assisting with setting personal goals of the production staff.  You will inspect workers on a daily basis to be sure they are dressed in appropriate clothing, assist with all safety on machines and inspect reports for accuracy.  You will be checking that all procedures that are in place are followed and notify management of any issues.  There are 2-3 supervisors, 6 assistants, and 6 leads.  Must be able to write procedures for jobs and safety, know how each job works, and safety involved within each position.  Come up with any new ideas, especially in areas of safety.  You will also be conducting monthly safety meetings for all production employees.

Must Have:

Irvine firm seeks strong QA Supervisory experience to keep company compliant within all areas of FDA and product integrity issues.  Will be consultant with FDA and other 3rd party entities representing the company.  Ability to write SSOP’s, GMP’s and HAACP manuals and programs.  Initiate and support quality safety and compliance programs.
